It cannot recommend what you do not sell
The assistant may only choose from the products your catalog returned for that question. A product id the model invents is discarded before anything reaches the visitor, and the card is rendered from your database rather than from the model’s text.
You see whether it works
The analytics show the funnel — how many conversations saw product cards, opened a product, added to the cart and reached the checkout — plus which products get recommended and which actually sell.

Does it change my cart or checkout?
No. It uses the standard WooCommerce cart in the visitor’s own session, so your checkout, taxes, shipping and payment plugins all behave exactly as they do now.
Can I keep some products out of it?
Yes — exclude any category, for example gift cards or spare parts, and cap how many products a single answer may show.
