Where it is: ChatFlint → Inbox.
Everything a visitor said is in the Inbox. The list shows the first question, the message count and the last activity; opening a row shows the whole transcript in order, with the session id and, if the visitor was logged in, the user.
Finding one conversation
- Search matches the text of the messages.
- Filter by tag narrows to one label.
- The Inbox badge counts what is actually waiting on you — an unanswered handoff, a new lead, a pending erasure request.
Tags and notes
Each conversation takes free-form tags (comma separated, e.g. sales, bug, refund) and internal notes. Tags are for finding a group of chats later; notes are for the next person who opens this one.
Leads
Contact details captured by the lead form appear under Leads with their name, email, phone, message and source, and a link to the chat they came from — which is usually the more useful half, since it shows what the person was actually asking about.
Both lists export to CSV, so a lead can go into whatever you use to follow up, and a month of conversations can be read outside WordPress.
Handoff and resolved-by
A conversation that reached a human keeps that history: who replied, and who marked it resolved. When several people share the inbox, resolved by is what stops two of them answering the same visitor.
Deleting
Deleting a conversation removes its messages, its tags and its notes, and takes it out of the Dashboard numbers. It does not delete a lead that came from it — a lead is a separate record with its own retention. To erase a person across both, use the erasure request flow in Deletion requests and retention.
