The entries list and the editor

Where it is: Knowledge → Entries.

Sources are what you added. Entries are what the bot can quote. One page or document is one item in this list; long ones are stored as several searchable sections, and an answer pulls in the relevant section rather than the whole page.

Reading the list

  • An item with a Sections count expands to show the pieces it was split into.
  • The Used column says whether an entry has ever been part of an answer. Entries that are never used are usually duplicates, navigation text, or content nobody asks about.
  • Search by title or content, and filter by source, to find one page among hundreds.

Fixing an entry

  1. Edit opens it in a rich-text editor. Headings, lists and paragraphs are kept — the entry is stored as clean structured text, which is exactly what the bot reads.
  2. Save. The entry is re-indexed straight away, so the correction is live for the next question.
  3. Or click the role badge to flip an entry between official business information and background article — see Official information vs background articles.
  4. Or tick items and use Delete selected. Ticking an item selects all of its sections.
An edit here changes the entry, not the page it came from. Next time that page is re-indexed — because you edited it, or the daily freshness check noticed a change — the fresh extraction replaces your edit. For a correction that has to survive, fix the page itself, or write a Q&A pair, which nothing overwrites.

Still stuck? Ask the assistant in the corner of this page — it has read all of this — or send us a message.
